Roofing Superintendent

The Roofing Superintendent will oversee and manage roofing projects from start to finish, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with both the crew and clients.

​

Success in this position depends not only on field knowledge but also on adaptability to technology. We rely on several platforms to enhance efficiency and clarity across our teams. The Roofing Superintendent must be comfortable using or learning tools such as:

1. CompanyCam (for real-time photo documentation)

2. Miro (Job Planning and project management)

3. Google Workspace

4. Efficiently work on a computer and Apple iPad

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Control:

1. Inspect work to ensure it meets industry standards and project specifications.

2. Implement and enforce safety procedures to minimize risks and accidents.

2. Crew Leadership:

3. Communication:

1. Serve as the main point of contact between the client and the roofing crew.

2. Communicate project status, changes, and any issues to clients and project managers.

3. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors as needed.

4. Administrative Duties:

1. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.

2. Manage inventory and order supplies as necessary.

3. Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.

1. Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in roofing, with at least 6 months in a supervisory or foreman role.

2. Skills: Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills; comfort using technology and job-specific apps; excellent problem-solving abilities; proficiency in roofing techniques and safety practices.

3. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications or training in roofing or construction management are a plus.

4. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and endure various weather conditions.

5. Licenses: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Work Environment:

1. This position involves working outdoors in various weather conditions.

2. Must be able to handle physical labor, including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

Compensation:

1. Hourly Pay: $25.00 – $45.00, based on experience and qualifications
