Case study

Done before the tournament: a FORTIFIED replacement in Long Beach

A homeowner who found us by asking one of our own crew — on someone else’s roof — and needed the job finished before he left town.

Called, estimated and finished inside a four-week window.

The situation

He found us in an unusual way. One of the roofers on our crews was working a job for another company in the neighborhood; the homeowner walked over and asked him which roofing company he would actually recommend. He gave him Joey’s number.

The roof was due, and there was a deadline: a bowling tournament out of town in about four weeks, and he wanted the roof done before he left.

Before: the old roof on the morning we started. He had four weeks.

What we did

We estimated, met again to pick the shingle color, and scheduled the install inside the window.

  • Full tear-off, plywood replaced where the deck needed it.
  • Built to the FORTIFIED Roof standard and certified.
  • Drip edge in a tan that matches the gutters rather than the red fascia. He was planning to repaint the trim off-white, so matching the red would have left him stuck with it — a small call that saves a repaint later.

He is particular about his yard — the front beds especially — so pots were moved and the beds covered before the first shingle came off. The neighbor was having a driveway removed the same week, which left no room on the street; the crew worked around it.

The result

Finished ahead of the tournament, certified, and cleaned up.

When a roofer on our crews, asked on someone else’s job which company he would trust, hands over our number — that is the review we care about most.
